"We're going to Jackson"

So if you haven't heard yet, we are moving to Jackson Hole, Wyoming next month (June). It has all been pretty crazy and really hasn't set in yet! We only found out and decided to go about 2 weeks ago and it has been a roller-coaster ever since! The Rich Haine's Gallery in Park City that Colb works for is opening another Gallery in Jackson and Rich wants him to run it! We are really excited for this adventure and the opportunity for Colb. We don't know exactly how long we'll be there so we are renting out our house till we get a better feel for things. In the mean time Jackson is only like 4 hours away so if anyone wants to come visit we will have a spare bedroom and really want some visitors, maybe it will help to let you know that we are in walking distance of the lil' Snow King Mountain Ski lift!!!!! Come and play in Jackosn with us!!!!!!! More pics of our new digs to follow!

New Pad for now!

The Last Fews Weeks

The last few weeks have been pretty eventful for the crew. Cicily had her baby blessing, we took a quick two day trip to Jackson, and spent a week in Moab. Life has been extremely enjoyable and hauling the little tike along has made it a blast. However, I will be the first to say it's a B****( having a little three month old in the car so much. Three to four hour rides are her least favorite thing right now. I feel bad for her. Other than that she loves the Bjorn(sp). Here's a few pics to illistrate the fun. ;-)

Baby Cicily Smiles and Cali!

Went to Cali to see my Cheerleaders do AWESOME at the High School Spirit Championship!
(They hit a perfect routine! Good job guys!)

The Plane ride on the way over, she did great we were really nervous!
I didn't want her ears to blow up or whatever and I didn't want to be the frantic mother with the screaming child! Neither happened, yea!
Thought this pic was funny, a little angle with the light on her that way!
And she was just that!
At the Competition she was all smiles! The cheerleaders got her this lil' outfit,it said "Hunter's smallest cheer fan!" Too cute!
Soon to be daddy "Braden" also fell in love with this one!
(this pic is for you Danie!)
Cute prego Danie and "Weirdo faced" Braden pose in Downtown Disney
(Danie is like 8 months prego and was tracking all over Disneyland, what a trooper!)
Colb loved carrying Cicily allover in the lil' carrier! Well it was actually my idea for him to wear it cuz I thought it would be a cute dad thing to do and also kind of funny cuz I couldn't picture it! But I am pretty sure he loved it too after the initial ridicule!

Trying on Hats in Disneyland, this one was too funny! We had more fun with this than CC apparently! She didn't think we were that funny!

This is everyone at Medieval Times, which is now becoming a squad tradition I feel! It is pretty funny to see these guys get going with cheering for their Knight! Mostly it always reminds me of "Cable Guy" and I enjoy asking our serving wench for things! (sorry bad quality pic!)

Just chillaxing in the 70 degree weather on the last day before we headed back to what we were told was a huge storm in Utah! But mostly this pic was taken to make fun of my sweet scarf I got so I could look like "D-trix" and Hok from So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew! I realize the level of Dork I have achieved, but I still like it!

And now cute baby smiles from the plane ride home!

She just cracks us up!

But did you check out the two cheerleaders behind CC who are sleeping, we got a good pic of them too! Everyone was pretty drained from the trip!

WEDDING CAKE

So my mom came over to visit CC and I the other day and randomly brought over the top of our wedding cake that she said she found in her freezer!!!!!........ Well a couple things come to mind; One, you FOUND it in your Freezer, I'm afraid to think of what other findings might be in there seeing as how Colb and I are coming up on our 5th year anniversary! Two, we must have totally forgot about the one year tradition of eating the top of your wedding cake, and probably because, Yuck! Who would want that even after a week later! I'm pretty sure there was no inquiry of the cake after one year for good reason!
However, we both had a good laugh over it and Colby and I keep daring each other to take a bite out of it! Neither of us has moved on this enticing dare, me mostly so it doesn't have any nasty repercussions on me or CC. So for now for the cake is just sitting in our refrigerator, who knows why I'm still holding onto it, although I'm pretty sure we'll get rid of it soon. But for some reason if you missed some awesome wedding cake from our wedding head on over and we'll cut you a piece and we'll re-live the magic 5 years later!
And now for some cute pics of CC!
Playin' on the floor with mom! (she's got some long fingers huh!)
Hanging out in one of her favorite places, her swing! (Thanks Danie and Braden!)
CC with Grandma and Papa Larsen ("Happy Birthday Grandma Judy!")
CC's first little dress, courtesy of one of my cute Hunter High Cheerleaders! (Thinking she kind of looks like Aunt Jamima with her bow and lil' sweater!)

OUR ECONOMY AND WHERE YOUR GOING

Where are you heading?

Growing up as a kid I've been lucky to have a lot of people in my life filled with wisdom on life and going through it. During which I've gleaned some good advice that has served me well in my business and personal life. One of the pearls of wisdom from a grandparent was, “Wherever your head goes, your actions are sure to follow!”
In these trying economic times no advice could serve us better. We need to be careful not to get sucked into as Zig Ziegler calls, “Stinkin’ thinkin’!” If we allow ourselves to go down the negative rabbit holes we are sure to find ourselves in the dark without a way out. Here are a few tips to help us all to stay on the path to successful living:
1. Surround yourself with positive people and cut ties with negative ones. We become like the people we spend the most time with. When we surround ourselves with negative people, we become negative. When we surround ourselves with positive people, their attitude is contagious.
2. Don’t let yourself talk to yourself. In other words don’t allow your mind to go through the, “What if exercise?” This thinking ends in total futility. Have a “get out plan” by using positive affirmations. We need to replace our negative self talk with positive affirmations.
3. TURN OFF THE NEWS! Be very selective about what you watch and listen to. If it is really important someone will tell you about it. Keep in mind that the media has an agenda and, “Whatever bleeds, leads.” Do not fill your mind with things that are negative and out of your power to change.
4. Keep a proper perspective on life’s cycle. Wise King Solomon said, “For everything there is a season, a time to sow, a time to reap…” you remember the song. From the beginning of time life has had its ups, downs, ebbs and flows. In business and in life we will have fat times and lean times. To think life will always be steady is unrealistic. The good news is although we are experiencing some lean times, change is sure to come.
5. Take time to help other people. Perform some community service or help a neighbor in need. When we help others it gets us out of our own misery. It demonstrates to us that we can have a positive impact on our world.
6. Get in touch with your spiritual source. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen." Faith and hope are powerful! Keep believing in good. What good ever came from thinking the worst?
7. Adopt an attitude of gratitude. Dwell on what you do have. Chances are you have a lot more to be thankful for than you think.
Even when we have a positive attitude we still have days when we don’t feel quite so positive. On those days we may need to take some extra time to review the previous seven tips and remember to not give in to the negativity around us.
Finally; remember that it is the journey, not arriving, that is important. I leave you with this story:
A rich business man went on vacation to Mexico, enjoying the week with his family and the services of a very kind couple as they stayed at there little home on the beach. The business man asked the man if he'd ever thought of developing his land into a huge resort. The man said, no why? Well, the business man told him you could make millions. The man then asked him, then what? Well, you can be like me and enjoy the life I'm living on the beach, in this hamik, sipping on nothin but Gin and juice, and tickling my toes in the sand. The old man then replied. But I do that every day already............
Life is not a contest, let’s keep positive and enjoy the ride!
